Connect Deckscribe

One minute. You'll need the email and password you sync Anki with. If you've never synced Anki, open it and sync once first.

1. Add the connector

Claude All plans, including free

Open Claude connectors
Click Add custom connector.
Name it Deckscribe and paste the server URL below.
Click Connect and sign in with AnkiWeb.

In Claude Code instead: claude mcp add --transport http deckscribe https://deckscribe.app/mcp

ChatGPT Needs Plus or Pro for now

Open ChatGPT plugins
Turn on Developer mode if it's off.
Click Create app, paste the server URL, choose OAuth.
Click Connect and sign in with AnkiWeb.

We're in review for the ChatGPT app directory. Once that's through, it's one click and works on the free plan too.

2. Just ask, in your own words

You don't need exact deck names or any special format. Say it how you'd say it to a friend, and it works out which deck you mean.

I keep mixing up the beta blockers. Make me cards for the selective vs non-selective ones and put them in my pharm deck.

Deck names match loosely: "cardio", "my cardio deck" and "Pharm::Cardio" all find the same deck. If it can't tell which one you mean, it asks before creating anything.

3. Open Anki

Sync on your phone or computer the way you always do, and the cards are there. Nothing to install, nothing to keep running.

If something looks wrong

It says my connection needs renewing: AnkiWeb changed or expired your sign-in. Sign in again and it picks up where it was.
My new cards aren't on my phone: Open Anki and sync. Changes wait on AnkiWeb until the app on that device syncs, exactly like changes made on another computer.
Can it delete my cards by mistake?: Deleting always asks you first, and we keep nightly backups for 7 days. Email support@saifalesawy.com and we can put things back.
